iSOFT Group looks for cold, hard cash in the health care software market. Its flagship Lorenzo platform creates a virtual health network that allows electronic health records to be managed by primary care doctors, hospitals, clinics, and insurance providers. The software includes tools used to manage patient information, lab and radiology results, and medication. Other applications include information management systems for use in hospitals, medical laboratories, operating rooms, emergency rooms, and other clinical settings. iSOFT markets its software worldwide from offices in some 20 countries. The company was acquired by Computer Sciences Corporation for $188 million in 2011.
