China’s GAC sells portion of battery unit stake following losses
- China's GAC will sell over half of its stake in Greater Bay Technology, one of its electric vehicle battery units, to parent company Guangzhou Automobile Industry Group.
- The transaction aims to improve GAC's balance sheet, with GAC holding an indirect stake of 15.6% in the battery maker after the deal.
- Greater Bay Technology, focused on high-performance batteries, recorded a net loss of RMB 449 million in the first nine months of this year.
