Poor Work Environment and Mismanagement at Fortis Hospital As a former dietitian at Fortis Hospital, I feel compelled to share my experience to shed light on the issues within the organization. While the hospital is renowned for its services, the internal work environment tells a completely different story. 1. HR Department is Inefficient: The HR department lacks professionalism and transparency. They were unresponsive to employee concerns and did little to address grievances. Their support was minimal, making the work experience unnecessarily stressful. 2. Front Desk (FD) Mismanagement: The front desk staff seemed disorganized and untrained, which impacted patient care and created confusion. Their lack of coordination often caused delays and miscommunication, making it difficult for other departments, including mine, to function efficiently. 3. Lack of Respect for Dietitians: Despite the critical role dietitians play in patient care, we were undervalued and overworked. There was little recognition or appreciation for our efforts. We were often excluded from decision-making processes related to patient nutrition, which hindered our ability to deliver the best care. 4. Workload and Pay Disparity: The workload was overwhelming, with minimal resources to manage it effectively.
