Duroply Industries Limited (DIL) is the flagship company of the prestigious Chitlangia Group which has a significant presence in Paper and Tea besides Plywood and allied products. DIL's manufacturing facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art machinery and has the required infrastructure to produce all varieties of plywood. DIL was founded in 1957, a time period when wood was the one and only resource for all furniture manufacturing. The late Sri P.D. Chitlangia was a dynamic person and under his inspired and powerful leadership the Company grew into a formidable corporate force. His vision was simple, yet powerful. The first manufacturing facility was established in Jeypore, Assam, the home of plywood manufacturing. The DURO range of quality plywood products was rolled out from this factory. An obsessive focus on Quality was a hand-me-down from Sri Chitlangia himself and it became integral to the entire business. The fruits of the company's labour paid off when DURO became the top plywood brand in India leaving all its competitors far behind. The Chitlangia Group launched Madhya Bharat Papers Limited (MBPL) in 1980 as a public limited company to cater to the rapidly growing Indian paper industry. The plant was commissioned in 1984. Today DIL's production facility is a technologically sophisticated set-up with advanced equipment, processes and support services for the production of the entire spectrum of products.
