Women who want to connect with bargain-priced fashions shop at DOTS. The chain operates more than 400 value-priced women's clothing and accessory stores in some 25 states, mostly along the East Coast and in the Midwest. The stores, which target women between the ages of 25 and 35, sell low-priced fashion apparel and accessories for the junior, misses, and plus-size markets. The fast-growing company has been opening new stores in some big markets, including Texas and Georgia. DOTS has plans for continued national expansion, including California and New York eventually. Founded in 1987, DOTS is owned by private equity firm Irving Place Capital, which bought the chain in 2011 for its growth potential.
