Founded in 1896 as the Park Seung-Jik Store, Doosan has undergone constant changes and growth over a century. Doosan began to make a revolutionary shift in its business portfolio from consumer goods – including beer and beverages – to industries with greater growth potential. Since then, Doosan has successfully merged and acquired Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction (formerly Korea Heavy Industries and Construction), Doosan Engineering & Construction (formerly Korea Industrial Development), Doosan Infracore (formerly Daewoo Heavy Industries & Machinery), and Bobcat. In this way, Doosan has expanded its business portfolio to include construction machinery, energy, and production facilities. In addition to expanding the scope of its business by incorporating digital technologies into traditional industries, Doosan is establishing a new territory for the manufacturing sector through digital transformation. Doosan Infracore was founded in 1937 as the first large-scale machine-manufacturing factory in Korea. Our product line-up includes construction equipment, engines, a variety of attachments, and utility equipment. Doosan Infracore is a subsidiary of Doosan Group, Korea's oldest and one of its largest diversified conglomerates. It generated an annual revenue of $15.5 billion in 2017. Our construction equipment business manufactures and distributes excavators, wheel loaders, and articulated dump trucks that are widely used in various industrial job sites, such as construction, quarrying, and mining. Acquired in 2007, Doosan Infracore owns the majority of Bobcat, a leading US compact construction equipment manufacturer. Bobcat manufactures and distributes skid steer loaders, compact track loaders, utility vehicles, and other compact construction equipment. Together with Bobcat, Doosan Infracore is the sixth-largest construction equipment manufacturer with an annual revenue of $5.8 billion in 2017. Opened in 1958, our engine business is Korea’s first diesel engine manufacturer and has continued to expand its business portfolio. It supplies diesel and gas engines for buses, trucks, construction equipment, power generators, ships, and various industrial equipment across the world. Based on its product line-up that meets increasingly stringent worldwide environmental regulations, our engine business is quickly emerging as the world’s top-tier engine manufacturer.
