Devans Modern Breweries Ltd. was established in 1961 by Mr. Dewan Gian Chand, a pioneer industrialist of Jammu & Kashmir. The company, besides having a brewery in Jammu has set up a modern, state of the art brewery at Kotputli, Rajasthan which was commissioned in 2006. Here it manufactures international quality beers, both in bottles and cans. The Rajasthan plant, set up as per the strictest of global standards, is one of the most modern in the country, producing fine world-class beers.
Devans Modern Breweries Ltd. has received the International Star Award for Quality in the Gold Category in the International Quality Convention held at Geneva, Switzerland on Oct. 27, 2008, in recognition of its commitment to Quality, Leadership, Technology, and Innovation.
