DCM infotech is the first Indian IT company to have indigenously designed and manufactured 8-bit and 16-bit computers for the Indian market. DCM Data Products started its operations in 1972. The division was instrumental in designing, developing and manufacturing the entire hardware, system software and compilers for the indigenously conceived personal computers.
With the changing times and advent of branded computers, the company was re-incarnated as a services company with strong focus on system integration, hardware and software maintenance support. The transformation also brought about the change in name to DCM Data Systems. The company enjoyed the status of a “True Blue” partner of IBM in India and a service only business partner in the US. It was also an authorized training partner of IBM in India.
The Unit was repositioned as a pure-play IT Services Company in 2007 focusing on IT Infrastructure and affiliated Services. While most of our customers possessed the physical infrastructure to host their computing resources, they lacked the human and process assets to support round-the-clock SLAs and meet their long-term IT-centric business-alignment strategies.
