BNM Institute of Technology (BNMIT) was established in the year 2001 under aegis of BNM Charities. The institute stands true to its legacy of excellence in academics, research and innovation. BNMIT focuses on all round development, while exploring latest advancements in science and technology. The institute offers undergraduate programs in Computer Science Engineering, Information Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. It also offers post graduate degrees in VLSI & Embedded Systems, Computer Science & Engineering and Master of Business Administration. The institute has well established R&D centers under VTU in the departments of CSE, ECE, EEE, ME, Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry and MBA. BNMIT is one among the top rated engineering colleges in the state of Karnataka. BNMIT is accredited as Grade ‘A’ institution by NAAC and all undergraduate departments of CSE, ISE, ECE, EEE and ME are accredited by NBA for academic years 2018-19 to 2020-21, valid up to 30.06.2021. The institute is ranked at 186 among institutions including, IITs, IIITs and NITs by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF, MHRD). BNMIT is the first institute in the state of Karnataka to receive a record grant of 2.87crores from New Generation Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (NewGen IEDC) sponsored by National Science & Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India. The institute's faculty are well oriented towards both research and academics. BNMIT regularly organizes international conferences, workshops, faculty development programs and symposium.
