ALPS was created by attorneys in response to the insurance crisis of the mid-1980s and its adverse effects on the legal community. When legal malpractice insurance was unaffordable or, in some cases, unavailable to attorneys, ALPS was the solution. Since then we have dedicated ourselves to constant improvement by looking at how our services are offered, expanding our offerings to more people, and providing continued education and professional enrichment to the community we serve. Today ALPS provides lawyers' professional liability insurance to over 12,500 attorneys nationwide. We manage more than $125 million in investments. We are endorsed by more bar associations than any other insurance company. ALPS is also rated A- (Excellent) by A.M. Best rating service. As we move forward, we continue to build upon our core competencies and at the request of our law firm customers and industry partners, provide services that leverage our capabilities to satisfy customer needs.
