• Collaborating with the executive team to assess and recommend technologies in support of company needs. Design and development experience in modern platforms using REST/API integration, Cloud Native Solutions, Containers, Microservices.
• Ability to research and understand new technology solutions and present essential comparisons, pros/cons, and target use cases.
• Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to provide encouragement, identify problems, create solutions, and implement efficiency improvements.
• Creating technology standards and practices and ensuring adherence
• Leading the strategy for technology platforms
• Overseeing research and development as well as special projects
• Technically supervising software development and testing
• Anticipating and reacting to major technology changes
• Developing technology contingency plans to keep projects on track

Skills

• 6+ years of JAVA programing experience
• 6+ years of experience developing web applications utilizing JAVA Enterprise Edition (J2EE), XML, or Web Services at an enterprise level
• 6+ years of experience working with J2EE Framework components such as Servlets, JSP, JDBC, Logging mechanism (ex. Log4J), Transaction Management and Thread Management, frameworks such as Spring, RESTful interfaces
• 6+ years of experience writing SQL/Functions/Procedures in transactional database systems such as SQL Server, DB2
• Proficient understanding of developing Web-services, HTML UI, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with Eclipse IDE and Spring Framework
• Experience with performing code reviews and recommending automated review tools
• Experience working in an agile environment. Ability to create a high-level work breakdown for a large component into clear, phased deliverables.
• And then accurately estimate and track the work, within an agile framework, to the definition of done
• Experience in designing scalable Java and RDBMS based web & mobile applications, designing and executing performance and scalability tests, and performance profiling

• Assess the systems architecture currently in place and work with technical staff to recommend solutions to improve it.
• Ability to research and understand new technology solutions and present essential comparisons, pros/cons, and target use cases.
• Resolve technical problems as they arise and provide guidance to development teams.
• Inform various stakeholders about any problems with the current technical solutions being implemented.
• Assess the business impact of certain technical choices.
• Provide updates to stakeholders on product development processes, costs, and budgets.
• Closely work with the CTO on developing the Technological edge of the organization.
