Senior Design Engineer

This position reports to Project Manager and will be solely responsible of the design engineering activities for the Customer onboarding team.

Key responsibilities:

• Design: Create electrical systems and components designs that meet high specifications for cost, safety, reliability, quality, and sustainability in AutoCAD and modeling software.

• Electrical layouts,SLD Creation, cable schedule, cable sizing calculations, Power Calculation Cable termination, Installation Document preparations.

• Knowledge in Industrial Communication Protocol - Modbus , serial, OPC UA, BACNet IP.

• Develop Electrical plans that align with Product Requirement.

• Working knowledge of various Industrial Instrumentation aspects including but not limited to Sensors, PLC, Actuators, Switchgear Equipment etc.

• Basic understanding of cloud technologies and services offered by cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS etc.

• BE/ B. Tech in Instrumentation, Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Marine or Equivalent Branches.

• Design Knowledge - AutoCAD with relevant certification.

• Understanding of electrical circuits, electrical system processing, Communication

• Concrete understanding of Industrial Control Systems such as PLC and SCADA/DCS.

• Working knowledge of various Industrial Instrumentation aspects including but not limited to Sensors, PLC, Actuators, Switchgear Equipment etc.

• Ability to establish communication channels with different plant data sources such as PLCs, DAQ systems, OPC servers, etc. to extract machine and process data

• Very good understanding and experience of working industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Fieldbus, DeviceNet, Ethernet, Serial, OPC etc.

• Good understanding of common industrial assets such as Motors, Compressors, Steam and Gas Turbines, Blowers etc.
