Senior Associate Legal

Location: Bengaluru (in-office)

Role Overview:

Teachmint is looking for an Associate to support its legal function. This is a unique and highly challenging role where you would be instrumental in streamlining the legal function and processes of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and review a host of agreements including Non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), employment agreements, marketing agreements, consultancy agreements, engagement letters, SaaS Agreements, Manpower Recruitment Agreements, etc.
• Give advice on laws and regulations affecting the companys business as well as HR and finance functions.
• Ensure up-to-date regulatory, manufacturing and other statutory licenses.
• Work with external CS to manage secretarial compliances for the company.
• Coordinate with external counsels for filing trademark and patent applications on behalf of the company.
• Liaise with foreign counsels to ensure compliance and timely audits of subsidiaries.
• Conduct research on various matters that may be required to support the business or for the implementation of new business initiatives.
• Draft notices and responses to notices received by the company.
• Respond to grievances received from users of the platform.
• Maintain and keep an up-to-date repository of all legal, secretarial, and critical documents of the company.
• Assist the Legal Team in performing any other responsibilities that may be expected from the legal function.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years PQE in a corporate commercial team, in-house or with a firm.
• Qualification as CS would be an advantage.
• Strong ownership over assigned areas of responsibility and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to explain and translate legal terms and implications to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ability to take initiative work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
