DE&A - Core - Data Engineering - Microsoft SQL Server

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PL/SQL Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PL/SQL and extensive experience in converting Oracle database objects to PostgreSQL. This role involves leading a team of data engineers, collaborating with DBAs, and ensuring the seamless operation and high quality of our data architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Conversion: Convert Oracle stored procedures, functions, and other database objects to PostgreSQL.
Table Structure Creation: Design and create table structures and other SQL DDL and DML scripts with inputs from DBAs.
Issue Resolution: Address and fix conversion issues from Oracle database schemas, including tables, indexes, views, triggers, functions, and stored procedures to PostgreSQL.
Testing and Validation: Perform unit testing and other PostgreSQL-specific post-conversion data validation.
: Work closely with DBAs and other teams to ensure the seamless operation of the new PostgreSQL database.
Data Quality Monitoring: Collaborate with DBAs to monitor data architecture and ensure data quality.

Qualifications:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7-10 years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on PL/SQL and database conversion.
Strong expertise in Oracle and PostgreSQL databases.
Proven experience in converting Oracle database objects to PostgreSQL.
Proficiency in SQL DDL and DML scripts.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Experience leading a team of data engineers is a plus.
