Sr Product Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Product Designer to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in shaping the user experience and visual design of our products. You have strong visual design skills and extensive experience creating design systems, designing with care and respect for accessibility.

As a Senior Product Designer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative and user-centric designs that help our customers and users succeed in school and life.

Responsibilities

• Leadership: Lead the end-to-end design process, from concept to delivery, ensuring a seamless and delightful user experience.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to define design goals and requirements.
• User Research: Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform and validate design decisions.
• UX Design/Prototyping: Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design concepts.
• Mentorship: Mentor and guide other designers on the team, providing constructive feedback and fostering a collaborative design environment.
• Industry awareness: Stay current with industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies to continuously improve design processes.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience working with design systems in figma
• Experience in designing and implementing usability tests
• Conducting research to understand user needs, pain points, and behaviors to inform design decisions.
• A strong portfolio of work detailing the challenge, process, design artifacts, outcomes, and learnings from prior projects/products

• Experience working in the edtech industry
• Experience in designing dashboards and reports
• Experience navigating time zone differences and cultural diversity within an international team structure.
• Experience with designing for WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards
• Experience with Maze
• Experience with Userpilot, pendo, or other product analytics/onboarding tool
