Sr. DotNet Developer

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with expertise in .NET development, event-driven architectures, and Azure services to join our engineering team. This position involves working across two squads on distinct projects within our core prescription routing product. You will play a critical role in enhancing functionality, transitioning legacy systems to modern architectures, and improving our prescription workflow processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Project 1: Event-Driven Architecture Migration

• Migrate functionality from legacy architecture to an event-driven service model using Azure Storage Queues, Function Apps, and App Services.
• Design, develop, and optimize back-end services in C# with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Leverage Azure tools to implement secure, efficient, and maintainable cloud-based solutions.

Project 2: Workflow Enhancements in Legacy Code

• Enhance and adjust existing legacy .NET code to accommodate new steps in the prescription routing workflow.
• Utilize technologies like Entity Framework, LINQ, and SQL Managed Instances to implement changes efficiently.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure workflow enhancements meet requirements without introducing regressions.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineering management, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
• Contribute to the teams code reviews, technical documentation, and best practices.
• Provide input on architectural decisions, focusing on the transition from .NET Framework 4.8 to .NET 6/8.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Proficiency in .NET Development:Strong experience with C#, Entity Framework, and LINQ.
• Familiarity with both .NET Framework 4.8 and .NET 6+.
• Azure Expertise:Hands-on experience with Azure App Services, Function Apps, and Storage Queues.
• Knowledge of designing event-driven architectures.
• SQL Proficiency:Solid understanding of SQL Managed Instances in Azure.
• Experience in writing optimized SQL queries for high-performance applications.
• Front-End Awareness:Familiarity with React for front-end development is a plus but not mandatory.
• Experience with jQuery in legacy applications.
• General Skills:Strong problem-solving and debugging abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience transitioning legacy systems to modern architectures.
• Familiarity with prescription routing or healthcare-related systems.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance standards in healthcare.
