Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team and oversee our General Ledger functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and a demonstrated ability to manage complex financial data accurately and efficiently.

What You Will Do

Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for the General Ledger, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
Analyze financial data and variances to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting requirements and provide timely and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders.
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Participate in the development and execution of process improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function.
Support external audits and internal audits as necessary, including preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and addressing any audit findings or recommendations.
Mentor and train junior staff members, providing guidance and support to facilitate their professional development and growth within the organization.
Stay current with accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

What You Will Have

Qualified Chartered Accountant CA (Mandatory).
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on General Ledger accounting and financial reporting.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial accounting principles, and internal controls.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience mentoring and developing staff members preferred.
Work experience as an Accountant.
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Hands-on experience with accounting software like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
Experience with general ledger functions
Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
