ROR Developer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining web applications using Ruby on Rails. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and users, integrating with front-end technologies, and collaborating closely with our product and design teams to deliver a robust, scalable, and high-performing application.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Development: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code.
• Database Management: Work with databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar, including writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• API Development: Design and implement RESTful APIs to integrate with external applications and services.
• Testing & Debugging: Ensure quality through writing unit tests, troubleshooting application issues, and providing timely fixes.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize application performance, addressing bottlenecks, and ensuring scalability.
• Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to maintain quality and best practices across the team.
• Collaboration: Work closely with front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and other team members to deliver a cohesive and engaging user experience.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience with Ruby on Rails in a production environment.
• Proficiency in Ruby: Strong understanding of Ruby syntax and object-oriented programming.
• Database Knowledge: Experience with relational databases and writing efficient SQL queries.
• Web Technologies: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience in front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, or similar) a plus.
• Version Control: Familiarity with Git and collaborative workflows.
• Testing: Experience with testing frameworks (e.g., RSpec, Capybara) and a commitment to test-driven development.
• Problem Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills, with a focus on delivering solutions.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.) and experience in deploying applications.
• Experience with containerization tools like Docker.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.).
• Understanding of agile development practices.
