In-line Baggage Screener

Purpose of the role

Screening of hold baggage to ensure the safety of passengers, crew, and aircraft by detecting and preventing prohibited items such as explosives, weapons, and other dangerous goods. This involves the use of advanced technology, established procedures, and human oversight, ensuring compliance with BCAS, DGCA, and other government regulations, while working closely with airport and security teams to safeguard Civil Aviation against Act of Unlawful Interference.

Hold Baggage Screening

• Thorough inspections using the Inline Baggage Screening System (CT-EDS, X-BIS, ETD).
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory guidelines & inhouse train the team members.
• Proactive participation in ORAT trials and other operational activities to identify and resolve issues.

Certification & Compliance

• Maintain valid ILHBS certification and pass BCAS & DGCA proficiency tests as scheduled.
• Effective implementation of all SOPs, Regulatory compliances and directive given by HOD.

Security & Vigilance

• Monitor for suspicious activities and unauthorized access in & around Inline Security locations.
• Respond efficiently to threats per BCAS regulations and the Contingency Plan.

Collaboration & Communication

• Support the Shift- ICs - ILHBS in security oversight, providing input, relevant data & prepare reports
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders like Airline, Ground Handlers, CISF, and state police.

Skills Required

Regular Graduate, Preferred AVSEC- Supervisors Course.

Minimum 2-7 years relevant to ILHBS, Experience in supervisory role in shifts.

Preferable if participated in HBS ORAT Trails.

Well verse on using MS office, Report writing and Presentation Skills.
