Autodesk Platform Services Developer

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with APS (formerly Forge) to create custom solutions for 3D visualization, automation, and data management. They will work closely with architects, engineers, and software teams to create custom solutions that enhance design collaboration, visualization, and automation within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Develop and integrate applications using Autodesk Platform Services (APS) APIs , including:
  
• Model Derivative API (for converting 3D models into different formats).
  
• Data Management API (for handling files and data stored in Autodesk cloud).
  
• Viewer API (for rendering 2D/3D models in a web browser).
  
• Design Automation API (for automating Revit, AutoCAD, and other Autodesk workflows).
  
• Webhooks API (for event-driven notifications and automation).
  
• Extend and customize functionalities of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360, and ACC .
  
• Implement 3D visualization solutions using APS Viewer and WebGL frameworks like Three.js.
  
• Develop cloud-based workflows to automate design collaboration and data management.
  
• Create RESTful API integrations between Autodesk services and third-party applications.
  
• Work with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud to deploy scalable solutions.
  
• Ensure security, performance, and reliability of APS-based applications.
  
• Troubleshoot and optimize APS integrations for better performance and efficiency.
  
• Stay updated with Autodesks latest API releases and best practices .
  

Qualifications and Experience Required:

• 2+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on Autodesk Platform Services (APS) or Forge.
  
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, Python, or .NET for APS development.
  
• Experience with Autodesk applications such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks, BIM 360, or ACC .
• Strong understanding of RESTful API development and integration .
  
• Hands-on experience with 3D visualization using WebGL, Three.js, or similar technologies.
  
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 authentication and Autodesks cloud security model.
  
• Familiarity with database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Firebase).
  
• Ability to work in an Agile development environment with cross-functional teams.
  
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  
• Experience working with BIM (Building Information Modeling) workflows.
  
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
  
• Autodesk Certification in APS or relevant Autodesk products .
