Senior MEAN Stack Developer (2-4 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior MEAN Stack Developer to take on the role of Team Lead. In this leadership position, you will lead a team of talented developers in building and maintaining web applications using the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js). You will take on both technical and managerial responsibilities, overseeing project execution, guiding your team to success, and ensuring high-quality code is delivered on time.

As a Senior Developer with a leadership role, you will serve as a mentor to junior developers, set development standards, and drive the overall technical direction of the team. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable, high-performance applications.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead a team of MEAN stack developers in the design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable web applications.

- Architect and develop robust, secure, and scalable solutions using MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, and Node.js.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Product, QA, UI/UX) to ensure seamless project execution and delivery of high-quality applications.

- Manage project timelines and deliverables, ensuring that deadlines are met while maintaining high coding standards.

- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and continuous improvement.

- Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, design, and software development processes, including Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, security, and maintainability.

- Take ownership of the application's architecture and drive technical decision-making, ensuring that solutions are scalable, performant, and cost-effective.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack, ensuring smooth performance and functionality.

- Implement automated testing for the full application stack, ensuring that code quality remains high throughout development.

- Contribute to the planning and prioritization of features, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.

- Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure successful deployment, monitoring, and scaling of applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack JavaScript development with a deep understanding of the MEAN stack.

- Proven experience leading and mentoring a team of developers, with a strong track record of guiding teams through the full SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).

- Expertise in Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, and Angular (2+).

- Advanced proficiency in JavaScript, with hands-on experience in TypeScript and ES6+ features.

- Strong experience with RESTful API design and integration, along with knowledge of authentication and authorization techniques (JWT, OAuth).

- Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and team management tools (JIRA, Trello).

- Solid understanding of version control systems like Git and branching strategies (e.g., GitFlow).

- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deployment tools (CI/CD, Docker).

- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Chai.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead the team in identifying solutions to complex issues.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with Microservices architecture and containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Knowledge of additional front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.js.

- Exposure to GraphQL and modern web APIs.

- Experience in implementing CI/CD pipelines and using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.

- Ability to oversee performance optimization and debugging of large-scale applications.
