Job Overview:

Vishwajyot High School is looking for a passionate and experienced Kathak Dance Teacher to join our performing arts faculty. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Kathak, strong teaching skills, and the ability to inspire students to develop their artistic and technical abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct structured Kathak dance classes for students of different age groups and skill levels.
• Teach core Kathak elements such as tatkaar (footwork), mudras (hand gestures), chakkars (spins), abhinaya (expressions), and storytelling.
• Train students in taal, laya, and rhythm using classical music and percussion instruments like the tabla.
• Choreograph and prepare students for school events, annual day performances, inter-school competitions, and cultural programs.
• Guide students in improving posture, grace, and stage presence.
• Incorporate creative and engaging lesson plans to make learning fun and interactive.
• Collaborate with music and drama faculty to create interdisciplinary performances.
• Conduct assessments and provide feedback to students on their progress.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and disciplined learning environment.
• Stay updated with new trends and techniques in Kathak while preserving its traditional roots.
