The Senior Data Analyst will lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data to support supply chain , engineering , and operations processes. This position requires a strong understanding of MRP systems , intermediate proficiency in Excel , and the ability to query IFS ERP systems using SQL . The Senior Analyst will also leverage Power BI for advanced data visualization and provide actionable insights that extend beyond standard reporting. This role demands an independent, strategic thinker who can communicate complex data findings effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Advanced Data Collection Analysis :
Extract and analyze data from multiple systems, including IFS ERP and MRP systems , to support business decisions in supply chain and engineering contexts.
Utilize SQL to query large datasets from the IFS ERP system , export data to Excel , and create summaries for operational insights.
Use Excel for complex data manipulation, including pivot tables and advanced formulas, to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Strategic Reporting Visualization :
Lead the development of sophisticated reports and dashboards using Power BI , transforming raw data into clear, actionable insights for senior management and operational teams.
Communicate insights in a way that informs both tactical and strategic decision-making, going beyond data interpretation to suggest process optimizations.
Cross-functional Collaboration :
Act as the primary liaison between data analytics and supply chain, engineering, and operations teams, ensuring alignment of data insights with business objectives.
Use MS Teams to facilitate collaboration, providing regular updates on data-driven insights and helping teams integrate data into daily operations.
Mentor junior data analysts, providing guidance on best practices for data collection, analysis, and presentation.
Independent Insight Generation :
Take ownership of data-driven projects, conducting in-depth analyses independently to uncover trends and present recommendations that address key business challenges.
Anticipate the needs of stakeholders and proactively deliver insights that improve process efficiencies, reduce costs, or optimize performance across the supply chain and engineering departments.
Process Data Improvement :
Continuously evaluate and improve data collection methods, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability in reporting.
Implement best practices in data management, staying current with the latest trends in data analytics , supply chain , and operations .
Provide leadership in the adoption of new analytics tools, particularly Power BI and other visualization tools, enhancing the companys data capabilities.
Key Qualifications Experience:
Education : Bachelor s Degree in Data Science, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field (Masters preferred).
Experience :
5+ years of experience in data analysis, with a strong background in supply chain , engineering , or operations .
Extensive experience working with MRP systems and querying IFS ERP systems using SQL for large-scale data extraction and analysis.
Technical Skills :
Intermediate proficiency in Excel , including the use of pivot tables and advanced formulas (macros not required).
Advanced skills in SQL for data extraction from ERP systems.
Proficiency in Power BI for creating dynamic dashboards and data visualizations.
MS Teams experience for cross-functional collaboration and project management.
Soft Skills :
Excellent communication skills , with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience guiding junior analysts or team members.
High level of attention to detail, with the ability to independently drive initiatives and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
