Technical Consultant (Zscaler Engineer)-1

Skill

Tech Skill

• Zscaler is the primary skill
• Candidate should be well versed with all services of Zscaler
• Understand Zero Trust Policy as entire set up in Fidelity is based on this
• Client VPN like Ivanti Pulse is preferred but NetScaler or Cisco Connect will do though candidates need to pick up Ivanti Pulse
• SD-Wan technologies like Silver Peak,Viptela preferred

Engineering Principle as mentioned by Jordan is of prime importance along with Technical Skills

1. Standardization, Simplification, Life Cycle Consideration & Management, Set Once Deploy To Many, Technical Debt, Automation, High Availability, Scalability, Security, Cloud First, Monitoring & Service Visibility & Testing. They need to live and breathe these principles, knowing what they mean, how they apply to our work, and embedding that not only within their work, but as a member of the Engineering team, promoting that to other engineers they work with.
2. Documentation They need an engineer who operates with documentation in mind at all times. Working with documentation such as High-Level Design (HLD) templates, Low Level Design Templates (LLD), Solution Requirements Documents (SRD), Solution Design Document (SDD), Network Implementation Plan (NIP), Network Ready For Use (NRFU), etc needs to be their bread and butter. Again, they not only need to embed this way of working comfortably within their own work, but they need to promote it to the wider team as an Engineering delegate”

Typical Day at Fidelity for this role

• Each resources are assigned to Strategic work stream
• Currently there are 8 dedciated engineers globally and hired resource will part of this group
• Work on Data Centre to cloud migration
• Zscaler implementation
• Ascertain requirement through stakeholder
• Document the expecations, design etc

Interview Process

• WWT internal screening
• Technical round by Fidelity and decision of hiring is made here
• Additional round may be requiredv if previous panel recommneds

Hiring Challenges so far from other suppliers

• Candidates presented do not have Zscaler experience
• Candidates come from NOC or Operations background
• No experience in ascertaining requirement
