Job Description

Job Title: Assistant Manager Sales (Tour & Travel Segment)


Job Overview:


The Assistant Manager Sales for the Tour & Travel Segment at Wonderla will be responsible for generating and managing sales of Wonderlas amusement park packages for various customers in the tourism sector. This includes working with travel agencies, tour operators, schools, corporate clients, and group bookings. The role requires driving sales initiatives, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring a memorable experience for all Wonderla visitors through tailored travel packages and services.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Sales and Business Development:
    • Drive sales for Wonderla’s group and tour packages, including school trips, corporate outings, family bookings, and holiday packages.
    • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand Wonderla’s presence in the tourism market and increase footfall through tour operators, travel agents, and B2B channels.
    • Identify new business opportunities and nurture relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, corporate clients, and local travel partners.
    • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets by securing bulk bookings, group tickets, and custom travel packages.

  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Maintain strong relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, corporate clients, and other key partners.
    • Coordinate with travel partners and other stakeholders to ensure seamless customer experiences.
    • Address client concerns, offer solutions, and ensure client satisfaction by providing high-quality service, packages, and experiences.

  • Customized Travel Packages:
    • Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to create customized packages for schools, corporate groups, and tourists, including ticketing, transportation, and additional services.
    • Develop and promote special packages for festivals, holidays, and peak seasons.

  • Lead Generation and Conversion:
    • Proactively generate sales leads via cold calling, direct outreach, networking events, travel exhibitions, and digital marketing.
    • Convert leads into confirmed bookings by promoting Wonderla’s unique offerings and customized packages.

  • Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
    • Research market trends, competitor offerings, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and innovation in the tourism and travel segment.
    • Suggest new product offerings based on customer feedback and market analysis to keep Wonderla’s offerings competitive and appealing.

  • Promotional Activities:
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted promotions, campaigns, and packages for different customer segments.
    • Participate in trade shows, travel fairs, and corporate events to promote Wonderla and generate sales leads.

  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis for senior management.
    • Maintain accurate records of all leads, contacts, client meetings, and contracts in CRM systems.
    • Ensure smooth and timely communication with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of group bookings and special packages.

  • Customer Feedback and Continuous Improvement:
    • Collect customer feedback on their experiences to identify areas of improvement and share insights with relevant teams.
    • Implement customer feedback to improve Wonderla’s sales approach and overall customer satisfaction in the tourism sector.

Qualifications:


  • Education:
    • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Tourism Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.

  • Experience:
    • 2-5 years of experience in sales, particularly in the tourism, hospitality, or amusement park industry.
    • Prior experience in handling large groups, corporate travel, or B2B sales for the travel and tourism segment.

  • Skills:
    • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions.
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM software.
    • Knowledge of the travel and tourism industry, including trends, destinations, and products.
    • Strong customer service orientation and problem-solving abilities.

  • Desirable Attributes:
    • Knowledge of Wonderla’s offerings and attractions.
    • Experience in the amusement or theme park industry, especially related to group bookings.
    • Familiarity with B2B and B2C sales strategies and practices.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
