Job Description:

We are seeking a Data Governance Specialist with a strong background in the banking domain to join our team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data governance frameworks, proficient SQL skills, and expertise in Collibra. This role requires a strategic thinker with the ability to implement data governance practices that ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Utilize Collibra to manage data assets, metadata, and data quality standards.
• Ensure data compliance with regulatory and internal policies within the banking sector.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote data governance initiatives.
• Monitor and improve data quality, data lineage, and data cataloging processes.
• Create and maintain SQL queries for data validation and reporting purposes.
• Provide training and support to stakeholders on data governance tools and protocols.
• Identify data-related risks and propose solutions to mitigate them.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong experience in Data Governance practices and frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.
• Hands-on expertise with Collibra for data management.
• Prior experience in the banking domain is mandatory.
• Excellent understanding of data compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications in data governance tools or frameworks.
• Knowledge of other data management tools and technologies.
