Job Title: L3 Wireless Network and Ekahau Engineer
We are looking for an experienced L3 Wireless Network Engineer to lead the wireless survey, design, and upgrade for global sites. The role requires hands-on expertise in predictive and onsite wireless surveys, WLAN design, troubleshooting, and optimization using tools like Ekahau and enterprise-grade wireless solutions. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of WiFi 6/6E technologies, RF design, and vendor solutions like Cisco, Aruba, Mist, or Meraki.
Key Responsibilities:
Wireless Survey & Design:
Conduct predictive and onsite wireless site surveys using Ekahau.
Import and set up CAD floor plans, define coverage areas, and configure attenuation zones.
Identify and resolve coverage gaps, interference sources, and capacity bottlenecks.
Develop WiFi heatmaps and recommend AP placements for optimal coverage.
WLAN Configuration & Deployment:
Design and configure wireless LANs for high-density environments.
Define SSID policies, RF tuning, and security configurations (WPA3, 802.1X, ACLs).
Configure and optimize Cisco/Mist/Meraki/Aruba APs and controllers.
Implement QoS policies, VLAN segmentation, and traffic optimization for business-critical applications.
Network Optimization & Troubleshooting:
Analyze wireless logs, packet captures, and interference sources (Wireshark, NetAlly, spectrum analyzers).
Troubleshoot roaming issues, authentication failures, high latency, and throughput degradation.
Conduct pre/post deployment validation tests to ensure compliance with Pfizer’s performance benchmarks.
Reporting & Documentation:
Create detailed survey reports with WiFi heatmaps, AP placements, and performance insights.
Maintain updated network diagrams, HLD/LLD, and configuration templates.
Collaborate with stakeholders to provide recommendations for continuous improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: 6+ years in enterprise wireless network design, deployment, and troubleshooting.
Certifications (Preferred): CWNA, CWDP, Ekahau ECSE, Cisco CCNP Wireless, Mist/Meraki Specialist.
