Scope of role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer Engineer 3 to join our WEX Mobility Engineering team, focusing on enhancing and modernizing our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. As part of this global team, you will contribute to building scalable and efficient CRM solutions that support fleet management, credit issuance, spend controls, and customer engagement.
At WEX, software engineers take ownership of delivering high-quality solutions by embracing DevOps and agile best practices. In this role, you will be instrumental in the entire software development lifecycle, from designing robust CRM architectures to optimizing integrations with other enterprise systems. You will work on improving customer data management, automation of workflows, and overall CRM efficiency, ensuring seamless interactions for both internal and external users.
Your expertise in CRM platform - Siebel, API integrations, and backend development, along with your ability to collaborate across geographically distributed teams, will help drive the success of WEX Mobility products. Your contributions will ensure our CRM systems remain innovative, efficient, and a key enabler of customer-centric operations globally.

  Conducts high-level assessments of development efforts. Design, develop, and test solutions for projects of moderate complexity. Develops and executes detailed development schedules. Engage with production support teams to resolve critical issues. Mentors and coaches junior developers and team members to foster professional growth and skill development. Experience you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in software engineering.
• Demonstrated understanding of core Computer Science concepts, such as object-oriented design, algorithms, data structures, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
• Proficiency with Siebel 20.6 and above (understanding of version-specific limitations and enhancements)

• Experience with multiple software development processes and lifecycles, including transition to production support teams.
• Expertise with SQL scripting and understanding of relational database concepts.
• Experience with shell scripts, FTP scripts and PL/SQL packages.
• Experience with Oracle, Postgres and snowflake databases.
• Experience with Cloud technologies (AWS).
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and middleware technologies for extending Siebel functionalities.
• Proficiency in building and integrating APIs within Siebel CRM, including REST, SOAP, and web services to enable seamless data exchange across enterprise systems.
• Proven experience administering and troubleshooting Unix/Linux systems.

• Masters degree in Business or a technical discipline.
