Section Head - Instrumentation

Role & responsibilities

Ensuring reliability and availability of allocated instrumentation equipment, control systems, panels of CPP machinery through planning and execution of predictive, preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.

Planning and executing instrumentation aspects of periodic overhauling as well as installing and commissioning of CAPEX projects within specified time.

Hands-on Experience in PLC and Distributed Control System (DCS) to programme maintain and change in logics as per requirement of the process.

Maintaining the C&I aspects of compressed air system for the complex.

Overseeing complete HVAC system of Power House (Boiler-Turbine-Generator)

Implementing standard maintenance practices

Managing assigned shifts to ensure all maintenance activities are performed within timelines with due compliance

Maintaining the C&I aspects of Cooling Water system and balance of plant.

Ensuring execution of breakdown maintenance activities with minimum downtime

Reviewing and monitoring maintenance of critical spares having longer lead time of procurement

Ensuring seamless data sharing and collaboration within and across functions

Ensuring minimum response time in providing information and solutions to all internal customers

Preferred candidate profile

Implementing green initiatives and ensuring all statutory compliance within timelines through continuous monitoring and reporting for CPCB and SPCB and other statutory bodies with respect to the following:

• Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS) real time data logging
• SOX, NOX, SPM, FGD, DENOX etc.

Operating, monitoring and maintaining Steam and Water Analysis System (SWAS) for ascertaining quality of water and steam being injected into the boilers for boiler health and certification.

Implementing all Business Excellence practices related to WCM and compliances required from Integrated Management System and Energy Management System including OHSAS, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 or any other energy of safety management certification compliance

Monitoring implementation of good housekeeping practices

Driving digitization initiative for the unit.

Implementing Safety standards to achieve zero reported incident.
