Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Welder with expertise in ARC Welding and MIG Welding to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for welding various materials, including metals, following detailed blueprints and safety procedures to ensure high-quality welds. You will work closely with the production team to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal parts and structures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welding Operations: Perform welding operations using ARC Welding (Stick) and MIG Welding (Metal Inert Gas) processes to join or repair metal components.
• Blueprint Reading: Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols to understand specifications and instructions for each welding job.
• Surface Preparation: Prepare materials and surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, and positioning them according to specifications.
• Weld Inspection: Inspect welds for defects, porosity, cracks, and other issues, ensuring that all welds meet the required standards.
• Quality Control: Ensure the final weld meets the specified thickness, strength, and appearance. Perform non-destructive testing, if necessary, to confirm quality.
• Welding Equipment Maintenance: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot welding machines and tools, ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing protective gear and following OSHA regulations, to ensure a safe working environment.
• Fabrication and Assembly: Assist in the fabrication and assembly of metal components for projects, ensuring precise measurements and alignment.
• Collaborative Work: Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete jobs on time, troubleshoot welding issues, and meet production deadlines.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including time logs, materials used, and completed welds.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent; certification in welding (e.g., AWS, CWI) is highly preferred.
• Experience: Proven experience as a Welder, with at least [X] years of experience in ARC Welding and MIG Welding.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of ARC (Stick) and MIG Welding techniques and best practices.
• Ability to weld a variety of metals, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Proficient in the use of welding machines, grinders, and other welding tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure the quality and precision of welds.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy objects in a physically demanding role.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to address welding issues effectively.
• Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of welding safety practices and commitment to adhering to safety regulations.
• Communication Skills: Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors.

Working Conditions:

• The job requires working in a manufacturing or construction environment with exposure to heat, sparks, and fumes.
• Protective equipment such as gloves, face shields, and safety boots must be worn at all times.
• Willingness to work in shifts or overtime as needed, depending on project deadlines.

Physical Demands:
