What You'll Be Doing As A Part of Our Team

• Lead the strategic decisions about technology, definition, implementation and releasable deliverables for projects and initiatives.
• Analyze the product requirements and feature functionality against product technology capabilities, in order to discover, plan and mitigate project risk.
• Provide subject matter expertise on the product and technology, to be used in planning projects.
• Manage and coordinate feature development across internal and offshore teams.
• Drive WebPT engineering best practices, development standards, and team norms to improve productivity, velocity, predictability, and quality while retaining an entrepreneurial and collaborative culture.
• Participate in the Agile/Scrum processes for planning and estimation.
• Ensure deadlines are met and high-quality releases are delivered.
• Manage software development related relationships across the organization to manage expectations and make sure everyone understands solutions to problems and goals of initiatives and the department.
• Manage all facets of the SDLC in collaboration with Engineering Managers, Leads and Scrum Masters, including project planning, architecture, software development and delivery.
• Establish and sustain a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration.
• Recruit, manage, mentor and grow talent and high performing teams.

What You Should Have to Qualify

• Team building and mentoring
• Planning and Estimating

• Optimizing SDLC Team Operations and Execution
• Process Improvement
• Project Plan Development and Status Reporting
• Software Development Lifecycles and Methodologies
• Vendor Management and Offshore Strategies
• 5+ years of related software leadership experience.
• 7+ years of experience working as a software engineer.

Ideally, You Would Also Have These

• Experience in Agile, Lean, Scrum. SAFe experience is a plus.
• A mix of frontend (Angular) and backend (.Net) experience
• Experience working with a LAMP stack (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
• Prior work with SaaS applications.
• Knowledge of open source technologies as well as commercial technologies.
