Web Developer

Our firm is seeking a creative Web Developer who can work with our marketing team to achieve our business digital marketing goals. The ideal candidate for this position is a hands-on professional with strong knowledge of content management platforms, and an ability to translate our business needs into client-friendly designs that will expand our websites influence in our industry. The Web Developer will be responsible for updating our current online websites/web applications, as well as developing and implementing a testing process to insure that new website applications meet our company's quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, test, expand, and scale our website in WordPress multi-site environment for over 10 different languages.
• Maintain our web server in Google Cloud environment, including server backups and platform updates.
• Maintain knowledge base in multiple languages, blog posts and online web content.
• Create and maintain landing pages, content pages, WordPress template pages, WordPress themes and WordPress plugins.
• Create website layout/user interface by using latest HTML/CSS responsive layout design practices using Bootstrap/Foundation.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices in PHP, jQuery, Javascript.
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs for any in-house web applications.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities.

Requirements

• Proven working experience in programming in PHP, jQuery and Javascript.
• Experience in creating plugins, themes, custom post types and custom taxonomies in WordPress.
• Top-notch skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS/CSS3 and responsive design.
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.
• Adequate knowledge of relational database systems (MySQL) and web application development
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem solving skills.
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets with business acumen.
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
• Good knowledge of Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP.
• Exposure with international clients.
