Logistics Executive Job Description
Responsibilities:
1. Supply Chain Management:
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution of automotive products.
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials and products.
2. Transportation Coordination:
- Plan and execute logistics strategies for the movement of vehicles, parts, and materials to and from manufacturing plants, dealerships, and customers.
- Select and manage relationships with transportation providers to ensure competitive pricing and quality service.
3. Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure that stock is maintained at optimal levels to meet production and customer demand.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess stock and reduce costs.
4. Documentation and Compliance:
- Ensure accurate documentation for all shipments, including bills of lading, customs documentation, and other regulatory paperwork.
- Maintain compliance with industry regulations, transportation laws, and safety standards.
5. Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Collect and analyze data related to logistics operations, including shipment tracking, delivery
performance, and cost analysis.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for management on logistics performance and
improvement opportunities.
6. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting:
- Address and resolve logistics-related issues as they arise, including delays, damages, and
discrepancies.
- Develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain.
Qualifications:
Education:
- A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. A master's degree or professional certification is a plus.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related role, preferably within the automobile industry.
Familiarity with the automotive supply chain, including manufacturing processes and dealer
operations.
Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed
decisions.
- Proficiency in logistics management software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
