Branch Incharge

Role & responsibilities

1. Business Development:

• Achieve monthly tonnage targets for both Sundry Load and Full Truck Load.
• Assign specific tonnage targets to the sales team after discussion with the Area Manager.

2. Sales:

• Supervise and monitor Sales Executives, ensuring daily sales reports are accurate.
• Identify potential clients, analyze their needs, and manage client relationships.
• Collaborate with the Area Manager on pricing and contractual terms for major clients.
• Regularly prepare and submit sales reports (Daily, Weekly, and Month-End).

3. Operations:

• Maintain communication with regular customers for bookings and deliveries.
• Ensure all bookings are processed promptly and deliveries are made on time.
• Monitor vehicle availability and coordination with the Traffic Division.
• Manage claims related to damages, shortages, or pilferage and prepare necessary documentation.

4. Accounts:

• Oversee cash receipt entries and voucher verifications by the accounts team.
• Ensure cash and balance verification with accounting records.

5. Credit Control:

• Monitor client receivables and follow up on outstanding amounts.
• Ensure Debit Notes are generated and follow up on payments with clients.

6. Customer Care:

• Supervise Customer Care Officers and address escalated issues.
• Ensure all customer service entries are recorded accurately in the system.

7. Administration:

• Maintain monthly stationary inventory reports.
• Manage housekeeping, office supplies, and resolve office equipment issues.

8. E.D.P./I.T.:

• Ensure that branch systems (PCs, E-Cargo, and Oracle) are working efficiently.
• Report and follow up on any technical issues with the IT team.

Preferred candidate profile

• Should be a graduate with around 4 years of work experience in Branch Manager / Branch In charge role only from Transport/ Express/ Logistics Industry.

• Good communication & analytical skills.

• Good knowledge of working on computers.

• Well versed in MS Office.
