Job Description

About this role

We are in the process of transitioning our existing application, IPA (connected to JD Edwards), to a new platform at Volvo Penta. The current technology will be outdated and unsupported during 2024. After thorough evaluation, our architects have chosen .NET as the most suitable platform for building the new IPA application, following the North Star architecture. This platform will also be used for developing other capabilities with similar needs.

Position Overview: We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will collaborate with a team of three developers and one architect to build and enhance our applications.

You are passionate about engineering best practices, advocating for clean code, and automating routine tasks. Comfortable working in agile environments, embracing change and continuous improvement. Your transparent, committed, and reliable nature builds trust among colleagues and customers. You have a strong desire to learn and adapt to new technologies, thriving in a changing world. Possessing excellent design and problem-solving skills is second nature to you.

Proficiency in English is a requirement. You have the ability to work in a changing environment and demonstrate a strong team spirit while being interested in understanding business processes.

Essential Requirements:

Experience in developing full stack applications using .net core, ASP.Net Core MVC and C#
Database development experience in SQL Server
Knowledge in JavaScript and jQuery, and solid knowledge of Kendo UI Controls
Working knowledge on version control systems like GitHub and CI/CD on GitHub Actions
Knowledge in Azure and Terraform
