Engineering Team Lead

This role is within our Corporate cluster within the Digital Finance area. Our mission is to establish and maintain stable and scalable financial systems and processes to secure accurate and timely reporting for Volvo Car Corporation and defined affiliates. You will be part of our product GAPE, General Accounting and Period End, with the goal to implement and maintain the best solutions for monthly/quarterly and yearly closings.

Main responsibilities

• You will lead and grow a team of hardworking engineers through hiring, mentoring, inspiring and feedback.
• You will ensure, through streamlined execution and experimentation, that our solutions meet the needs of our customers quickly and accurately.
• You will be the voice of engineering in the Product team through friendly and effective collaboration with your product counterpart.
• Moreover, you will advocate and strengthen modern, agile software development and help us develop and foster good engineering practices.
• You will ensure the solutions are scalable, sustainable, architecturally sound, and that technical debt is both incurred consciously and repaid in a reasonable time. You will collaborate with other engineering leaders across the organization.
• The product team General Accounting Period End (GAPE) is a part of our Corporate Cluster in the Digital Finance area, responsible for the solution building & deliverables around financial accounting, reporting, month end closings and support to the Finance business stakeholders.
• The Sub- product team CFIN DevOps will take care of the Central finance implementations, product development and operations.
• Our mission is to provide accurate and timely support to the business for reporting, month end closings and data analysis as per the new steering model.
• As this product is more inclined towards the financial transactions across VCC, this product calls for a strong cross collaboration between the system platform, functionality and technical support, and supports the consolidation process for group reporting and the product OneStream and the master data team.

Do you fit the profile

• 5-8 years of experience in SAP with FICO- CFIN as the primary competence area with strong finance background and working knowledge of other SAP modules in both SAP ECC and SAP S/4 HANA
• e worked with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC with a strong finance background and good management skills.
• Handing scrum board is an added advantage.
• Having knowledge about MDG, FIORI and Internal P & L and consolidation system is an added advantage.
• You are very knowledgeable and passionate about modern software development that builds products our customers love.
• You are passionate about digital technologies and willing to work hands-on to try new technologies.
• You are good at leveraging vendor capability for the team s delivery.
• Worked in highly customized SAP End to End Implementation project from Realization, Cutover activities to Go-Live & Support
• In-depth understanding of business processes related to finance with integration of other modules and business functions such as Month-end processing for FI & CO, Year-end processing tasks
• Process and technology expertise to work with transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S4 HANA
• University degree in business administration, data science, engineering or similar
