Lets introduce ourselves
The Manufacturing & Supply Chain hub team looks after the data and analytics needs of business areas across M&SC, largely through engagement with teams embedded within business functions. The D&A Delivery team s responsibility within the hub will be to deliver data and BI products following a prioritised backlog of use cases, and hand over to our business units to manage them.
This is a new role - it will be to lead the Bangalore-based engineers - mainly outsourced, but with potential for employee team in the future. This team will work on our global backlog, but will be based in Bangalore to ensure that we gain a deep understanding of our business - manufacturing and our local supply chain.
What youll do
- Accelerate and support business area teams data maturity journey, delivering proof of value/proof of concepts, and guiding and supporting on the productionisation of data and BI products
- Under the guidance of the head of D&A Delivery, drive standards and best practice for the team in Bangalore to align with global team practices
- Serve as host manager for M&SC D&A in Bangalore, managing the resourcing and recruitment processes and providing pastoral care to the team
- Champion the vision and mission of D&A across M&SC
What youll bring
- You are an experienced data and analytics leader with experience managing data and BI engineering teams
- Deep understanding of how to build and run data products, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent English communication skills
- Broad technical breadth including familiarity with data platform services.
- Grow, inspire, and encourage a team of data and analytics professionals, encouraging talent and creativity whilst remaining focused on delivering business value
- You have a way with numbers, as well as a strong business sense, and ability to inform strategic business decisions.
- You have a validated ability to influence decision-making at all levels within an organization, and in a variety of contexts
- You have got a strong intuition based on a broad range of experiences, but you take a critical mind even to your own ideas and are ready to be challenged by colleagues of all levels
- You are motivated by a burning desire for excellence but take a pragmatic approach to achieving your goals
- You have deep technical expertise in data engineering, with a desire to broaden that expertise into the other data and analytics technical disciplines
