Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Migration Expert with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience to join our team. As an Azure Migration Expert, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing the migration of applications, systems, and data to the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to assess their existing infrastructure and applications for migration to Azure.
- Develop comprehensive migration strategies and plans, considering factors such as security, scalability, performance, and cost optimization.
- Execute end-to-end migration projects, including discovery, assessment, planning, testing, and deployment.
- Utilize Azure migration tools and services to efficiently migrate applications, databases, and workloads to Azure.
- Ensure the successful integration of migrated systems with Azure services and resources.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any migration-related issues or challenges that arise during the process.
- Provide guidance and support to clients and internal teams on Azure best practices and migration methodologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement post-migration monitoring, management, and optimization strategies.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience as an Azure Migration Expert or similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure cloud platform and its migration services and tools.
- Strong understanding of cloud migration methodologies, best practices, and industry standards.
- Experience with assessing and analyzing on-premises infrastructure and applications for migration suitability.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing Azure migration strategies, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecting.
- Familiarity with Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure SQL Database, Azure App Service, and Azure Functions.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and security principles in the context of Azure migrations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate.
- Experience with other cloud platforms and migration tools.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell or Azure CLI.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
