Shipping Assistant

Role & responsibilities

1. Shipment bookings from overseas to Australia and New Zealand

2. Shipment booking planning based on warehouse and 3PL capacity

3. Freight cost analysis

4. Managing multiple forwarders

5. Maintain Freight, forwarders and Free days records

6. Liaising with supplier for orders status & follow-ups

7. Liaising with forwarders for booking status & follow-ups

8. Update ETA in records and ERP from suppliers feedback.

9. Ability to analyze data, strong understanding about planning, manufacturing, logistics and order management

10. Contribution in production planning

11. Update pending orders ETA based on supplier and shipping schedules

12. Weekly/ Monthly reporting

13. Prepare weekly payment plan

14. Authorize Weekly supplier payments

15. Chase and check shipping documents

16. Resolve issues related shipping documents

17. Resolve shipment discrepancies with warehouse or suppliers

18. Initiate internal stock transfer in ERP

19. Ad-hoc duties

Knowledge of Shipping process,

Dealt with Freight forwarders,

International Company exposure
