Senior Team Lead

Job Description:

VassuTech is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Team Lead to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. This role requires a professional with extensive knowledge in SQL Server, SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), and Data Warehousing concepts. The ideal candidate will have over 12 years of hands-on experience in these technologies, coupled with proven team leadership abilities to drive project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management:
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers and analysts.
• Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring team alignment with project goals and deadlines.
• Technical Expertise:
• Design, develop, and maintain robust SQL Server databases, including writing and optimizing complex queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Oversee the design and implementation of ETL processes using SSIS to handle large-scale data integration.
• Ensure the proper application of data warehousing best practices, including data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data migration strategies.
• Project Management:
• Plan and execute projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical deliverables.
• Quality Assurance:
• Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and performance of database systems and data warehousing solutions.
• Conduct regular code reviews and performance tuning to maintain high standards.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for databases, ETL processes, and data warehouse schemas.
• Prepare and deliver project updates to clients and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Educational Background: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Technical Expertise:
• 12+ years of experience working with SQL Server (database design, performance tuning, and query optimization).
• Proficiency in SSIS for creating and managing complex ETL processes.
• Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts such as star/snowflake schemas, OLAP, and ETL pipelines.
• Team Leadership:
• 5+ years of experience as a Team Lead, managing technical teams and delivering projects.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Additional Skills:
• Familiarity with tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) is an advantage.
