Candidate requirements

Below are the key requirements we are looking for in a candidate to fill in the Associate Product Manager position at Vishwa Samudra Engineering.

Problem-solving skills

Ability to identify complex business challenges, analyze them critically, and develop innovative solutions to address them.

Data analysis

Proficiency in analyzing large datasets, deriving meaningful insights, and presenting findings to inform decision-making. Proficiency in using data analysis tools like Excel will be a minimum criteria.

Stakeholder management

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, understand their requirements, and manage expectations.

Communication skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate ideas, present findings, and facilitate discussions with diverse teams.
• Business impact assessment
• Capability to assess the business impact of various features and functionalities, prioritize them based on value and feasibility, and align them with organizational goals.

Technical acumen

Basic understanding of technology, software development lifecycle (SDLC), and familiarity with tools and methodologies commonly used in software development and project management.

Adaptability

Flexibility to adapt to changing requirements, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Educational background

Bachelors or Masters degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or any related field.

Experience

• Prior experience as a Associate Product Manager or similar role in the construction industry, technology sector, or related field would be advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities in this role

• Below are the key responsibilities that we expect the Associate Product Manager to handle.
• Requirement gathering
• Collaborate with stakeholders across different departments to understand their needs, gather requirements, and document them clearly and comprehensively. Support with low to medium fidelity mock-ups, wireframes, Figma designs.

Data analysis

• Analyze data related to construction projects, technology tools, and business processes to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
• Feature prioritization
• Assess the business impact of various features and functionalities, prioritize them based on value, feasibility, and alignment with organizational goals, and communicate priorities to the development team.

Communication and collaboration

• Work closely with developers, project managers, QA engineers, and other internal stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of requirements, smooth execution of projects, and timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

Documentation

• Create and maintain detailed documentation of requirements, user stories, use cases, and other relevant information to guide the development and testing processes.
• Testing and validation
• Collaborate with QA engineers to define test cases, validate implemented features against requirements, identify and address issues, and ensure overall quality of the developed solutions.
• Continuous improvement
• Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and innovation in technology tools and business practices, and contribute to their implementation.

Training and support

• Provide training, support, and guidance to internal teams and end-users on new technology tools, features, and best practices to ensure successful adoption and utilization.
