Job Description
- Installing and maintaining the performance of SAP HANA databases
- Establishing the needs of users and monitoring user access and security
- Mapping out the conceptual design for a planned database
- Refining the logical design to translate it into a specific data model
- Managing database access and maintaining database performance by troubleshooting problems
- Ensuring compliance with database vendor license agreement
- Performing database backup and recovery tasks
- Implementing SAP HANA upgrades, patches, and other maintenance tasks
- Managing and monitoring data replication processes
- Working closely with IT project managers, database programmers and other IT staff
- Creating database reports and providing documentation
- Providing 24/7 support for critical database issues and managing crisis situations
