Sr. SW Engineer

• Deploy and improve instrumentation for monitoring and logging systems.
• Develop automation to enhance operational efficiencies and system integration.
• Support and manage Observability applications and infrastructure for Splunk, Humio, Click house, Grafana, Prometheus, M3DB, OpenTelemetry, FluentBit, Elastic Search, Open Search, Cloudwatch.
• Partner with development teams to design monitoring solutions and help to create development, non-production, and production environments.
• Ensure systems are secure against cybersecurity threats by continuously applying new hotfixes and OS patches.
• Promote a DevOps methodology across platforms.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) to ensure high availability, scalability, and security.
• Develop and implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) for application deployment and orchestration.
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors and implement preventive measures.
• Create and maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
• Provide support and troubleshooting for infrastructure and deployment issues.
• Develop automation to improve operational efficiencies and system integration.

Basic Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant work experience with a bachelor s degree or 2+ years with an Advanced degree.

Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of work experience with a bachelor s degree.
Proficiency in performing regular upgrades for Splunk Enterprise, Splunk universal forwarder, Fluentbit, Prometheus container images, Grafana, Nifi, Elastic Search, Kibana, Clickhouse setup.
Experience in setting up exporters (Node exporter, Cert exporters, other exporters) to collect metrics.
Experience with container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proficiency with Observability tools (Splunk, Humio, Click house, Grafana, Prometheus, M3DB, OpenTelemetry, FluentBit, Elastic Search, Open Search, Cloudwatch).
Experience with CI/CD pipeline management with GitHub, Ansible.
Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and Configuration Management (GitOps).
Scripting skills (Python,Shell scripting).
Knowledge of any programming language: Java, GoLang, Python, MS Sql query is a plus.
Experience working in a Linux environment and Unix scripting.
GCP or AWS Cloud certifications are a plus.
