Manager - Collections (11-17 yrs)

Job Role & Responsibilities :

- Collections Strategy: Develop and implement effective collection strategies for unsecured loans and LAP portfolios. Monitor and analyze collection trends, adjusting strategies to optimize recovery rates.

- Team Management: Lead, train, and mentor a team of collection agents and executives, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines. Set performance goals and regularly review the performance of the collection team.

- Portfolio Management: Manage and oversee the collection activities for the unsecured and LAP portfolios in South India. Ensure timely and effective collection of overdue payments, minimizing delinquency rates.

- Customer Interaction: Handle escalated cases and interact directly with customers to negotiate repayment terms. Maintain a customer-centric approach while ensuring the company's financial interests are protected.

- Compliance: Ensure all collection activities comply with applicable laws and regulations, including RBI guidelines. Maintain accurate records of all collections efforts and communications.

- Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on collection performance, including recovery rates, delinquency trends, and team performance. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on data analysis.

- Regional Focus: Focus on collections in Karnataka and other South Indian states, leveraging local knowledge and language skills. Engage with local stakeholders and customers, ensuring effective communication in Kannada.

Key skills and Experience:

- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in collections, with a focus on unsecured loans and LAP.

- Fluency in Kannada is mandatory; proficiency in other South Indian languages is a plus.

- Prior experience working in South India, with a strong understanding of the local culture and market dynamics.

- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field. A master's degree or relevant certifications is preferred.

- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in collections.
