Job Description


Profile: Territory Sales Executive/ Market Development Executive

Department: Sales

Reporting To: Area Sales Executive / Area Sales Manager

Reportee: NA

Grade: E


Coordinates with: Business Heads, Human Resources & Admin Team, IT Team, Accounts & Finance Team, Marketing Team etc.


Position Summary:

Sales representative is to get retail or wholesale buyers to purchase your company's garments and accessories. A sales executive is responsible for helping build up a business by identifying new business prospects and selling product to them. They must maintain relationships with current clients and build and maintain relationships with new clients. They will also need to stay ahead of their competition and work on sharpening and improving their skills by attending classes, seminars or workshops.


KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Achieving Secondary sales target

  • Ensure sales to retailer as per targets defined for the region.
  • Understand schemes and offers for the brand and positioning the same to the retailers.
  • Sell products as per the product basket defined by the ASM.
  • Position and sell new products as per the directive from the ASM.
  • Sharing the sales booking data to the distributor as per the schedule.

B. Relationship Management

  • Meetings the retailers on a regular basis as per the beat plan for booking sales.
  • Understanding problems of retailers and sharing the same with ASM and distributor on a weekly basis through a report.
  • Collecting consumer trends, competition data from the retailers and sharing a monthly report.

C. Opening new retail Stores as per retail mapping plan

  • Ensure that retail counters are opened on a regular basis as per plan from the Retail Mapping team or as per AOP.

D. Collection of Data in a timely manner

  • Ensure that data is filled on field assist in a timely and accurate manner
  • Collecting monthly billing details from each distributor for the retail stores he is responsible for and sharing it with the sales coordinator.
  • Collect data from the distributor as required as per the directive of the ASM.

E. Marketing communications- In-store

  • Ensure that marketing collateral reaches the retailer as per the instruction from the marketing team and SBU head.
  • Taking pictures of Marketing collateral installed at each PoS and sharing it with marketing team.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  1. Research and recommend prospects for new business opportunities.
  2. Research and analyze sales options.
  3. Stay current with trends and competitors to identify improvements or recommend new products.
  4. Set up meetings with potential distributor and listen to their wishes and concerns.
  5. Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services.
  6. Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data.
  7. Ensure the availability of stock for sales and demonstrations.
  8. Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections.


Requirements, Experience, and Education:

Bachelors degree will be preferred, Should possess minimum 4-6 years of experience in the Sales field. Ability to negotiate and understanding of marketing skills. Require in depth knowledge of thorough understanding of marketing and negotiating techniques. Proven experience as a Sales Executive or relevant role.
