Job Description

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Desktop Publisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design and typography, as well as proficiency in desktop publishing software. As a Desktop Publisher, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and professionally formatted documents for print and digital distribution.

Responsibilities:

Use desktop publishing software (e.g., Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress) to design and layout documents such as brochures, flyers, posters, reports, and presentations.
Collaborate with clients, designers, and other team members to understand project requirements and objectives.
Create visually appealing layouts that incorporate text, images, graphics, and other elements in accordance with design principles and brand guidelines.
Prepare files for print production, including setting up bleeds, trim marks, and color profiles, and ensuring proper resolution and file formats.
Edit and proofread documents for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Stay updated on industry trends, software updates, and best practices in desktop publishing.

Requirements:

Bachelor s degree in graphic design, visual communication, or a related field (preferred but not required).
Proven experience as a Desktop Publisher or graphic designer with a strong portfolio showcasing desktop publishing skills.
Proficiency in desktop publishing software, such as Adobe InDesign, QuarkXPress, or similar tools.
Solid understanding of typography, layout principles, and design fundamentals.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and visually appealing work.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Knowledge of print production processes and specifications is a plus.
Creativity, adaptability, and a passion for design.
