TECHNICIAN - X RAY

The X-Ray Technician will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-ray exams, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The technician ensures high-quality images are obtained while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

• Perform diagnostic X-ray imaging procedures on patients, ensuring proper positioning, exposure, and image quality.
• Operate X-ray equipment to capture high-quality images for radiological examinations.
• Prepare and position patients according to prescribed procedures, ensuring minimal discomfort and injury.
• Maintain patient safety by following protocols to reduce exposure to radiation.
• Review patient history and physicians orders to ensure that the appropriate imaging procedure is performed.
• Assist in ensuring that all equipment is in good working order and report any malfunction to the Radiology Supervisor.
• Maintain accurate patient records, including imaging reports and test results.
• Follow strict sterilization and infection control protocols.
• Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations.
• Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and assist in diagnosis.
• Adhere to all safety regulations, including the safe use of radiation and handling of hazardous materials.
• Manage and schedule patient appointments, as well as follow-up care.
• Stay up-to-date with advances in radiologic technology and best practices.
