QA Engineer R&D Department

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer with expertise in software and hardware testing within embedded systems.

The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a dynamic R&D environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct software and hardware testing for embedded systems.

Develop and execute test cases as per Software Design Document (SDD) and Functional Requirement Specification (FRS).

Implement various testing methodologies, including Black Box, White Box, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Functional Testing, System Testing, Acceptance Testing, and Regression Testing.

Perform functional and automated testing using tools like Rational Functional Tester (RFT) and Quick Test Professional (QTP) (preferred).

Test communication interfaces and protocols, including RS-485, Modbus, I2C, UART, Ethernet, and TCP/IP.

Track and report bugs using tools such as Mantis or Bugzilla.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and reliability.

Provide feedback and improvements on product functionality and performance.

Required Qualifications & Skills:Experience: 3 to 5 years in software and hardware testing for embedded systems.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of C programming.

Experience with embedded controller testing.

Hands-on experience in test case creation and execution.

Familiarity with different testing methodologies.

Domain Experience: Fire & Intrusion Systems (preferred).

Bug Tracking Tools: Mantis, Bugzilla, or similar.

Preferred Skills:Experience with automated testing tools.

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
