Analyze and Interpret: Dive into technical drawings and project requirements to understand the scope of work.
Evaluate Materials: Identify and assess the materials needed for production, ensuring they meet specifications.
Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with our manufacturing team to understand processes and resource needs, and communicate effectively with internal teams to align on project scopes.
Prepare Cost Estimates: Develop accurate cost estimates, including materials, labor, and production timelines, to support project bids and proposals.
Document and Optimize: Maintain clear documentation of estimations and revisions, and assist in identifying opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining quality standards.
Engage with Vendors: Collaborate with our buyer/planner team and vendors to gather information on material costs and availability.
What Were Looking For:
Educational Background: A degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Technical Expertise: Knowledge of material specifications, manufacturing processes (especially welding), and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
Software Proficiency: Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite or other relevant software.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Attention to Detail: A thorough understanding of engineering design concepts and manufacturing process principles, including lean manufacturing.
Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently.
