Sr. Engineer Mechanical Engineering XII

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible of NPDI AME Industrialization Engineering deliverables
• Provides technical support to internal Vertiv functions - marketing, sales, application engineering, customer technical support and service, and manufacturing.
• Understands the products, suggesting ideas and improvements back to group.
• Assists with creation, reviewing, and systems-entry of new product specifications, ECNs, tests, procedures, user manuals, submittal drawings, and sales literature.
• Creates/modifies mechanical drawings/parts in CAD systems, CREO and Solidworks.
• Assists with troubleshooting of escalated or re-occurring field issues.
• Performs lab testing of products.
• Collaborate across the disciplines of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, process engineering, as well as production and customer teams. Work with these teams for design reviews, meeting cost metrics, and brainstorming around advanced technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or Electro-Mechanical Engineering.
• 3-5 year of engineering product development or support experience.
• Sheetmetal design experience desirable
• Working knowledge of mechanical concepts, products, safety and test-methods.
• Ability to follow, create, and organize testing and instructional procedures.
• Data-entry systems familiarity & Bill of Material Creation Experience - Oracle, Agile, etc.
• Strong Mechanical CAD tools experience.
  • MBD (Model Based Definition) experience.
  • CREO and Solidworks.
• Machining and CNC experience preferred.
• Troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve problems quickly and logically.
• Planning, organizing, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and operate in cross functional Global Development Teams.
• Fluency in English
• Electronics knowledge and electrical experience is a plus.
